When it comes down to big games that have attracted a ton of mainstream attention and has earned million late following its release within the 10’s decade Grand Theft Auto V is one of the top titles that instantly comes to mind. Since its initial release back in September 2013 Grand Theft Auto V RockStar has managed to earn over $6 billion in revenue from the game and has managed to reach over 90 million copies in worldwide sales. The amount of success that GTA: 5 has achieved since its release is unbelievable but at the same time its not too surprising seeing how popular the seems has been since the early 00’s. Following the release of Grand Theft Auto III In ’01 it managed to reach at least 14 million units worldwide in sales while GTA: Vice City reach over 17 million after its arrival on the PS2 In ’02.

After GTA: San Andreas reached at least 27 million units worldwide in relation to sales on multiple game systems such as the PS3 and Xbox 360 it seemed like RockStar has reached its peak in popularity until Grand Theft Auto V was released for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in 2013. Along with having three characters to play as in the story mode, impressive visuals, advanced combat system and excellent storytelling the online multiplayer mode added to its overall replay value.
