Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Confirmed for 2020!!!

One of the few things that has been a hot topic within the gaming world as of late is the upcoming release of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition next year. For those who do not know Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is another version of the original game which was initially released almost four years ago. Since its release back in 2016 Street Fighter V has become one of the most popular fighting games that we have seen within the past few years. The inclusion of classic characters since the SFII era from the early 90’s such as Ryu, Guile, Chun-LI, Ken, Bison along with new characters definitely got older fans of the series interested in Street Fighter V. Also, the inclusion of a story mode with cinematic cutscenes is one that was a first in the Street Fighter series and it had added to the game’s overall quality. The addition of various DLC characters also added to the appeal of Street Fighter V and many people will be happy to know that Capcom has decided to bring back another classic character in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition in 2020.

If you were a huge fan of Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact and Street Fighter III: Third Strike from ’97-’99 then you will be excited to know that the final boss from each game known as Gill will be returning to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. Gill is a character that has god-like powers and was the main villain of Street Fighter III as the leader of the Secret Society which consists of humanity’s elite. There is absolutely no question that Gill was possibly the hardest boss in Street Fighter history and has been absent from the series since the late 90’s. Gill is expected to make his return as a playable character when Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is released on February 14th next year.

The Success of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare

Ever since the initial release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare back on October 25th the game has become one of the hottest shooter titles of 2019. It was reported days later around October 30th that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare had reached approximately $600 million in sales within the first three days of its release. In addition, to becoming a massive financial success it turns that Activision had managed to set new records with their latest Call Of Duty installment. It turns out that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare not only had the best PC launch within the series but it also managed to become the most pre-ordered PS4 game ever. A lot of time and dedication went into creating Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare because the campaign mode was highly praised by critics and the online multiplayer gameplay only adds to its replay value. The digital opening for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare was also a sight to behold and has been recognized as the best that Activision has ever done. While Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is definitely a stronger entry than last year’s installment COD: Black Ops IV some would place it on the same level as older entries within the series such as Modern Warfare 1-2 from 2007-2009 in relation to appeal.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 was definitely one of the most anticipated games of this year especially since many wondered how Activision was going to follow up on the release of Black Ops IV from October 2018. As people know Called Of Duty: Black Ops IV did not have a campaign mode which many people appreciated because they were able to focus more on the Battle Royale feature which was basically the main attraction for that game. Will the absence of Virtual Reality hurt Project Scarlett?

Project Scarlett is one of the most highly anticipated game consoles of 2020 along with the PlayStation 5. Both Project Scarlett and the PlayStation 5 are expected to be released late in 2020 and each game system have their set of features that are appealing in some way. As it currently stands the price for Project Scarlett is not set in stone but we do know that it will range somewhere between $399-$499. The PlayStation 5 is expected to be priced around $499 at launch with the possibility of updated models be more expensive as time progresses. As far as features are concerned we do know that Project Scarlett will include Ray tracking, 120 fps gameplay in addition to 8K resolution and GDDR6 memory and a custom AMD Zen 2 processor. Microsoft is hyping Project Scarlett up to be the most powerful game console of the 20’s decade despite not having Virtual Reality features like the PlayStation 5. While Project Scarlett is said to be at least four times stronger than the Xbox One X and is backwards compatible with older generation games many might argue that Sony has the slight advantage as far as appeal is concerned since they are about to move into their second generation of Virtual Reality gameplay.

Its no secret that Microsoft has not been crazy about asking Virtual Reality an essential feature in relation to their game consoles. Microsoft seems more interested in streaming along with cloud based services while providing players with an optimal gaming experience. While the Nintendo Switch provides limited Virtual Reality features with the Nintendo Labo for certain games its certainly not the main attraction for that game system. The Switch console has reached over 32 million units in sales since its release back in March 2017 despite VR not being a huge part of its appeal. While competition with. As it currently competition within gaming world is heating up especially with the upcoming launch of Google Stadia on PC and Chromecast Ultra along with Apple Arcade turning heads of many people. As far as whether or not lack of VR capabilities will harm Project Scarlett is concerned its something that seems unlikely. Microsoft is not known for Virtual Reality like Sony is and the appeal of their consoles have been more dependent on providing superior quality more than anything else.

The Pros & Cons of Google Stadia

As many people know the Google Stadia is considered to a revolutionary gaming platform the likes that the world has never seen. The Google Stadia has been hyped up all throughout 2019 and based on the announcement that was made about this new gaming platform back at GDC in March sounds very promising on paper. It has been said that on its launch date November 19th titles such as Mortal Kombat 11, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin’s Creed Odessey will be available for the Google Stadia. Also, following its upcoming launch the Google Stadia will work on various devices including Chromecast Ultra TV, Google Pixel 3 & 4 phones along with desktop and laptops. For those who are PC gamers the Google Stadia is worth checking out as you will find a great deal of positives concerning this new cloud based gaming service. As far as potential negatives are concerned in relation to the Google Stadia it has been revealed that certain features will not be available for the cloud-based service during its initial launch.

Features such as 4K streaming on PC devices will be absent following the upcoming launch of Google Stadia. However, it has been said that on November 19th that 4K/HDR will be streamable on Chromecast Ultra which is something that many people are not too happy about. There has been speculation about 4K/HDR streaming feature for PC Stadia users becoming available sometime in 2020. However, since there are generally more laptop/PC users especially in comparison to those who use Chromecast Ultra in America that lack of 4K streaming will definitely be a huge issue on November 19th. Also, competition within the gaming world is only going to become more intense as both Sony & Microsoft plans on releasing their next generation consoles the PlayStation 5 and Project Scarlett in late 2020. Upcoming Games- Zombie Army 4: Dead War (2020)

If you are a huge fan of the shorter genre of gaming one of the few titles that is worth checking out next year is Zombie Army 4: Dead War. For those who do not know Zombie Army 4: Dead War is an upcoming developed and published by Rebellion Developments which is expected to appear on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows sometime in February 2020. Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a spin-off game from the Sniper Elite series and is considered to be the direct sequel to Zombie Army Trilogy which was released back in 2015. The plot & setting for Zombie Army 4: Dead War takes place in 1946 and players have to fight off a horde of Nazi zombies along with Undead Hitler who allegedly died a year before in 1945. While fighting off a horde off zombies players will be able to engage in co-op gameplay similar to that of Left 4 Dead. Also, Zombie Army 4: Dead War has the look and feel of a Call Of Duty game mixed with Dead Rising as far as blood, gore and violence is concerned.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War 4 is realistic in the sense where some undead Nazi soldiers will be equipped with actual weapons that were used in WWII. Also, the visuals and the gameplay look absolutely incredible as players venture through a war torn Europe from 1946 by Plan Z. For those who do not know Plan Z was basically Hitler’s idea to improve the German Navy known as Kriegmarine that began in 1938 and was expected to be completed by 1948. As far as shooter titles are concerned Zombie Army 4: Dead War looks very promising; the campaign mode is intriguing and it has the potential to be one of the best shooter games of 2020.

Retro Gaming 90’s- Mario Paint: (1992)

When we think about SNES games that were both very different and unique as relates to the early 90’s Mario Paint from 1992 is a title that instantly comes to mind. For those who do know Mario Paint was basically a single-player art tool game that allowed players to engage in a variety of activities. The creation of custom stamps by utilizing pixels was something special because was something that people hardly saw in Super NES titles back in the early 90’s let alone a Mario game. Also, the endless fly swatting game with three looping levels and a final boss was one that seemed like it did not belong in a Mario game at all. But considering the fact that Mario Paint was not your typical platform title the fly swatting mini-game made players feel as if they were playing a non-Mario game and was interesting in that respect. One of the main features that Mario Paint has to offer as far as gameplay was concerned was the the music generator. For those who were very creative and were fond of composing music in some way Mario Paint has provided talented individuals to make their own songs using 16-bit sounds.

The music generator feature in Mario Paint is one that has remained popular since the early 90’s and people have often used it within the 10’s decade to remake famous songs from the past couple of decades on the internet. As popular as Mario Paint was back in the early 90’s the game never received a direct sequel for Super Nintendo, N64 it GameCube which was something that was always questionable. Some people find it bizarre that Nintendo never created another art-tool based Mario game since ’92. In fact, following the release of Mario Paint during the Summer of ’92 the game was critically acclaimed and received praise from various publications. Mario Paint was unlike anything that the world had every seen on the Super NES and it was something that was never seen on consoles like the Sega Genesis which made it so special.

Upcoming Releases- Fairy Tail: (2020)

There are many upcoming games that the world is looking forward to seeing next year and one of them so happens to be a new title for the popular anime/manga series Fairy Tail. For those who do not know the Fairy Tail manga series was created by Hiro Mashima in August 2006 and ultimately lasted up the until the summer of 2017. Fairy Tail has been seen as one of the more popular mangas of the 00’s and 10’s decade and eventually received its own anime which that lasted from October 2009 to September 2019 in Japan. While the fan base for the Fairy Tail series has increased immensely since the mid-00’s those same people will be happy to know that the series will finally receive a high-profile video game that will appear on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows in 2020. This upcoming Fairy Tail game will be created by Japanese video game developer Gust Co. Ltd and published by Koei Tecmo and be released on a date that has yet to be revealed.

There have been various details concerning the new Fairy Tail game that we have learned since its reveal trailer appeared online back in September 2019. It has been confirmed that Fairy Tail will definitely a turn-based RPG with each character having their own respective side stories and optional quests. Also, the Fairy Tail game will feature ten playable characters along with the first half of the game will centered around the popular Grand Magic Games Arc from the anime. As far as gameplay is concerned The reveal trailer for Fairy Tail that we saw back on September 5th was impressive especially since the graphics look synonymous with the anime itself.
