When it comes down to gaming in 2018 two of the most popular titles that we have seen this year are Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 along with Red Dead Redemption 2. Since both of their respective releases Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 have attracted a ton of mainstream attention especially since they include online multiplayer game modes that contributes to the replay value of each game. Ever since October 26th of this year Red Dead Redemption 2 had managed to sell over 15 million copies worldwide. It should also be noted that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 managed to earn over $500 million in revenue since its launch back in October 12th but the exact sales figures the game are still unclear.

In their respective genre both titles are currently top titles of 2018. If you are a huge fan of the action-adventure genre of gaming you would be more inclined to agree that Red Dead Redemption 2 is more popular than Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. But if you are a fan of first person shooter games and have played Call of Duty since the Modern Warfare days of the late 00’s-early 10’s than COD: Black Ops 4 would most likely be considered a more superior game than Redemption 2. Either way both games seem about equal in relation to popularity in 2018.
