As many people know rumors have bedeviled going around on the internet for quite sometime regarding whether or not Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword would ever appear on the Nintendo Switch in the future. For those who do not know Legend of Zelda: Skyward was released back in November 2011 for the Nintendo Wii and the Wii-U. Since its release Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has managed to reach at least 3.4 million units worldwide in sales was critically acclaimed by fans and multiple gaming publications for its storyline and soundtrack. As much of an attraction as the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was back in the early 10’s Nintendo has recently stated that they have no plans on porting this title to the Nintendo Switch.
Not having Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on the Nintendo Switch is understandable especially considering how popular Zelda: Breath of the Wild current is on the console right now. As far as sales are concerned the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has now reached over 10 copies in sales since its release back in March 2017. While its a shame that Zelda: Skyward Sword will not be appearing on the Switch console in the near future it’s always possible that Zelda: Twilight Princess can appear on the hybrid console if Nintendo has any plans on making a reality.
