When we think about popular RPG’s that never made it to any of the Wii consoles games like Dark Souls and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are titles that instantly comes to mind. Ever since, Skyrim was released back in November 2011 the game has managed to reach over 22 million units in sales while being available for multiple game systems such as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 along with the Xbox One and even the Nintendo Switch. Some might find it odd that similar to games such as Dark Souls there was no Wii or Wii-U version of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Its not too much of a surprise that Skyrim never appeared on the Wii-U since the console itself was considered a flop.

Also, it was quite uncertain whether or not the Nintendo Wii or the Wii could have handled the Creation game engine which provided amazing visuals for Skyrim. Games that utilized the Creation Engine also included Fallout 4 and most recently Fallout 76 which were included on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Also, aside from eventually releasing Skyrim for the Switch console in 2017 it seems like Bethesda was never really interested in releasing too many games for Nintendo consoles in general. Game Systems such as the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One are considered to be much better for third party video game developers in general.
