When it comes down to games within the Final Fantasy series that does not get talked about as much one the few titles that comes to mind is FFXI. For those who do not know Final Fantasy XI was initially released back in May 2002 and was eventually ported to Microsoft Windows and the Xbox 360. What made Final Fantasy XI special was the fact that it was the first MMORPG game in the FF series in general. Since its release back in ’02 the game has been received positive receptions from fans and critics aside from the instillation process of the game itself. There were also other aspects of the Final Fantasy XI that some people complained about such as the game’s control scheme in relation to gameplay which seemed rather minuscule look back at it now.

However, despite the flaws that Final Fantasy XI had many would argue that the game was without a doubt better than FF XIV: A Realm Reborn which came out back in 2010. In fact, MMORPG’s was not nearly on the same level of popularity back in the early 00’s compared to what we have seen mainly throughout the 10’s so far. While Final Fantasy XI may not be as popular as the likes of FFVII, FFVIII or FFXII the argument can definitely be made in favor of this game being an underrated title within the series overall. V
