The Persona series is considered to be legendary in the world gaming and has been around since the mid 90’s when the very first game appeared on the PS1 during ‘96. However, Atlus legendary RPG series had began to achieve mainstream popularity around the mid 00’s when Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 was released on the PS2 on July 13th. Its hard to believe that Persona 3 is considered to be fifteen years old; along with the fact that the Shin Megami Tensei series has been around for 25 years. Despite, the fact that Persona 3 may not be as popular as P4 or P5 the game was considered an enjoyable JRPG classic from the PS2 era of gaming. Also, Persona 3 was popular enough to have four different films between ‘13-‘16. There were many people who were fans of movies such as Spring Of Birth, Midsummer Knight’s Dream, Falling Down and Winter Of Rebirth with the 2013 film arguably being the best of the four. Persona 3 also had its own manga series following the success of the PS2 game from 2006.

One of the most shocking things about Persona 3 is the fact that the game was never remastered for the PS3 or the PS4 since its release for the PS2 in 2006. The story of Makoto Yuki and the Dark Hour is one that is very intriguing yet mysterious which added to the overall appeal of Persona 3. At some point Atlus should do something special in relation to P3 especially since the 25th anniversary of the Shin Megami Tensei series is on September 20th. As a role-playing simulation title Persona 3 is considered a classic which a hard to find in used video game stores in this day and age. An unopened copy of Persona 3 has to be worth hundreds of dollars online and could possibly sell for way more than it was worth fifteen years ago.
