As far as retro games for the Sega Saturn is concerned there is no doubt whatsoever Nights Into Dreams was one of the most high profile video games for that console during the mid 90’s. There were many people who were highly impressed by various aspects of the game such as graphics, level design gameplay along with the inclusion of a creative storyline. Nights Into Dreams had seven different levels that players could earn grades on upon completion which was considered to be unique at the time. In fact, some might argue that the grade concept following the completion of different levels from Nights Into Dreams provided Sega with the idea to include it in both Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. As far as 3D action-adventure type games are concerned many would argue that Nights Into Dreams was the most popular title on the Sega Saturn during the mid 90’s and deserved to be ported for Dreamcast between ’98-’99.
In addition, to being one of the more memorable action-adventure games for the Sega Saturn some would argue that Nights Into Dreams was more popular on that console than any Sonic title that came out between ’95-97. Nights Into Dreams was a game that seemed ahead of its time following its release ’96. In fact, Nights Into Dreams is considered to be a better title than its 2007 Wii sequel known as Journey Of Dreams despite having more inferior graphics.
