For those who have not heard the PS1 Classic which was released not too long for the price of $99 in America has now been reduced to $75. Now the price drop for the PS1 Classic May not come as a surprise to many people especially considering some of the negative reviews that it has received from gamers in general. Despite, having top titles such as Final Fantasy VII, Ridge Racer, Tekken 3 and others many people have complained that the PS1 was underwhelming and did not have as much hype or anticipated as the SNES Classic did. Not only that titles such Tomb Raider, Tekken 2, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy VIII & XI and others that were also popular on the 32-bit console back in the 90’s were absent on the PS1 Classic as well.
The absence of popular video games aside from what Sony gave us on the PS1 Classic might possibly be one of the many reasons why the price suddenly dropped. But there is no question that the price drop of the PS1 Classic can definitely be a factor in relation to the game system ultimate selling more in the future.
