When it comes down to video games in the Mortal Kombat series that were pretty cool and never got as much attention as the MK: Trilogy or the most recent titles MK 9 & 10 one of the many titles that comes to mind is Shaolin Monks. For those who do not know Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks was released for the PlayStation 2 along with Xbox back in 2005. Unlike many other titles in the Mortal Kombat series Shaolin Monks was an action adventure beat em up game that revolved around Liu Kang and Kung Lao while trying to stop Shang Tsung from taking over the Earthrealm. Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks was very unique game that deserved a direct sequel or a HD release of some sort. V

However, Midway Games never had any plans on re-releasing Shaolin Monks for any current generation game systems such as the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One. It also seems like NetherRealm Studios or Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment as no plans on developing a Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks 2 game either. In fact, the gaming world is still waiting for Mortal Kombat XI which is more likely to appear on consoles such as PlayStation 4 & Xbox One before the release of a potential Shaolin Monks game in the future.
