As many people on the Chrono series was popular back in the 90’s following the release of Chrono Trigger back in March 1995. Ever since, the initial release of Chrono Trigger it seemed like the series had never reached the same level of popularity as it did back the mid 90’s. By the time Chrono Cross was released in 1999 the RPG classic seemed like it was overlooked due to RPG games such as Final Fantasy 7 & 8 becoming very popular on the PS1 during the the late 90’s. Despite being overshadowed on the PS1 Chrono Cross was still a very good RPG title and is one that has been deserving of a remake for quite some time.

In fact, the 20th Ann of Chrono Cross is coming up in November 2019 and it would be pretty cool if Square Enix release md an HD Remake of this game on the PlayStation 4 or even the Nintendo Switch. Despite, the Chrono series being inactive for almost two decades there are still long time fans of the series who are hoping that Square Enix revives its it or at least remake the latest game in the series for a current generation console. However, there has bedeviled no talk or plans involving Square Enix remaking Chrono Cross for a current generation console at all so its seems unlikely that will actually happen at the time being.
