As many people know the Castlevania see has been around since the 80’s when the very first game appeared on the NES back in 1986. Since then it seemed like most of Konami’s best work within the series had took place between the late 80’s-mid 90’s. In fact, some would argue that the Castlevania series had some nuggets of gold back in the first half of the 2000’s with the releases of Aria of Sorrow & Dawn of Sorrow for the Game Boy Advance between 2003-2005. It seems Castlevania games that were featured on consoles such as the NES, SNES, PlayStation 1-3 and even Game Boy Advance are the ones that many people have fond memories off in general.

However, the two Castlevania titles from 1999 that appeared on the Nintendo 64 are ones that people hardly ever talk about. Its quite possible that Castlevania 64 & Legacy if Darkness were both overshadowed in the late 90’s following the release of Symphony of the Night which appeared on the PS1 back 1997. But at the same time both Castlevania titles for the N64 were not as nearly as memorable as other games within the series such Simon’s Quest, Dracula X, Bloodlines, Symphony of the Night, Dracula’s Curse and others.
