As many people know the Castlevania series is legendary within the gaming world. Ever since, the first ever Castlevania game was released back in September 1986 for the NES the series had several games that had high replay values. The Castlevania games from the 90’s saw the release of titles such as Super Castlevania IV along with Symphony of the Night which were among some of Konami’s best titles during that decade. But in terms of which game was more popular between Super Castlevania IV & Symphony of the Night is abtooic that is debatable. While Super Castlevania IV was praised for its level design along with the use of Mode 7 in certain stages there are many people who would argue that the game was not quite as popular as Symphony of the Night which was for the PS1 back in 1997.
Not only was Castlevania Symphony of Night considered to be one of the best games within the series but one of the best titles to have ever appeared on the PS1. The Metroidvania & role playing elements made Symphony of the Night more interesting than any of the previous titles that came before it. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was an unforgettable classic for the PS1 that many people would love to see remade for a current generation console such as the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One. If many who are fans of the series had to choose one game over the other they would probably go with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night over Super IV.
