When it comes down to big action adventure titles from the 90’s Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action was one of the most popular titles for the PS1. Since its initial release back in 1998 Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action has managed to sell over 6 million units worldwide. In fact, Tactical Espionage Action was probably one the best titles within the entire Metal Gear Solid series. Due to its critical acclaim within the gaming world Tactical Espionage Action was eventually ported and re-released for the Nintendo GameCube as Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes in 2004.
Since the release of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes many people has praised the game for its improved visuals over the original 1998 game. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes also had superior looking cutscenes and voice acting over Tactical Espionage Action. Seeing how popular Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action was back in the day it’s a bit shocking that Konami has never produced an HD Remake of the classic action-adventure stealth game on the PlayStation 4. Taking Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action or even Twin Snakes and re-releasing it in HD for the PlayStation 4 or even the Nintendo Switch would be amazing. Seeing that we are getting big remakes for popular titles from the 90’s such Resident Evil 2 along with Final Fantasy VII having a HD remake of Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action would definitely turn heads in the gaming world especially since its now been officially 20 years since it was released for the PS1.
