When it comes down to legendary video game soundtracks the late 80’s and the early 90’s has many memorable tunes that are still remixed to this day by many people on internet. In relation to the NES the Palace theme for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was composed by Akito Nakatsuka and is considered to be one of the greatest 8 bit tunes of all time. Since 1987, there have been various remake of the Palace with the one in Super Smash Bros Melee arguably being the best one.

The Corneria theme for SNES Star Fox game is one of the best 16 bit soundtracks of the early 90’s. Corneria was composed by Hajime Hirasawa and was a theme that captured the adventurous feel of the stage itself perfect. While there has been various remake of this song many feel that the original 16 bit version is the best and is considered a timeless classic. In terms of which theme is better between the original Palace theme and Corneria is debatable and really depends on which series you are more a fan of.
