When comes down to action-platform titles of the 2000’s MegaMan X5 is one of the most memorable 2D titles that Capcom has ever released in the PS1. There were multiple things about the game including its 2D visuals along with its legendary soundtrack that made MegaMan X5 such an enjoyable video game. While some game publications praised the 2D graphics used for MegaMan X5 other criticized the game for the very same reason during the early 00’s.

However, the plot for MegaMan X5 was pretty decent as players saw the return of Sigma as the main antagonist for this game. Players in MegaMan X5 must thwart Sigma’s plans by prevent a space colony called “Eurasia” from colliding and ultimately destroying the Earth. Some might argue that the plot for MegaMan X5 was very creative especially considering the fact that Sonic Adventure 2 which was released one year later had a similar story that involved saving the Earth from a space colony as well.

MegaMan X5 May not be the most popular game within the MegaMan series but there is no denying that the soundtrack for this title was awesome. Capcom gave us the legendary X vs Zero theme which is arguably one of the best boss battle soundtracks in gaming history. As a 2D platform title MegaMan X5 was arguably one of the better games in the series following its peak in popularity in the early to mid 90’s.
