The platform genre of gaming was truly something special during the 16 bit era. When we think about platform titles for the SNES we think of many different titles including Skyblazer which was developed by Ukiyotei and released back in 1994. The cool thing about Skyblazer was the fact that it stood out from the typical platform video game with various different in game elements such as puzzle along with the use of Mode 7 in certain parts of the game.

Along with colorful graphics and sprites Skyblazer looked like one of those game that could have evolved into a series or had some type of sequel after 1994. But even if it did Skyblazer series would not have been around for that much longer seeing that Ukiyotei became defunct sometime in the early 00’s. Some might think it was a shame that Ukiyotei went out of business around the early 00’s since it would have been great to se Skyblazer on the Game Boy Advance during that time period.
