super-mario-galaxy

It’s hard to believe that it has been roughly over nine years since the original Super Mario Galaxy game was released in November 2007.  The very first Super Mario Galaxy game was probably one of the best 3D games that Nintendo has produced in the series along with Super Mario 64.  The original Super Mario Galaxy game was very creative in terms of concept and the soundtrack for the game itself was of optimal quality.  A few years after Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released many people believed that Nintendo was going to develop a sequel for that title for the Wii-U game console.  As many of us know both Super Mario Galaxies 1 & 2 were among the best selling games for the original Nintendo Wii game console.  Some might argue that if Nintendo had released a third Super Mario Galaxy game for the Wii-U it could have helped the overall sales for the game console in general.

Even though Nintendo had released many big titles for the Wii-U including Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Maker and Super Smash Bros Wii-U there a lot of people around the world who were waiting for a direct sequel to Super Mario Galaxy 2. Along with receiving a high definition remake of Super Mario Sunshine the third installment of Super Mario Galaxy is something that many people have been waiting for over six years to see and what better way to draw attention for its potential release than to have it for the Nintendo Switch.  If Nintendo decides to release a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy 2 not only would many people be very excited to see it but the game itself might also be one of the most anticipated Super Mario titles that we have seen in a while.  Only time will tell if Nintendo decides to release a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy 2 but since Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that the series is not over yet there is a decent chance that it will happen sometime in the future.
