The Pikmin series has been around since the early 2000’s and since then it has become one of the most popular children video game franchises of the past two decades. As it currently stands there has been a total of five installments within the Pikmin series and this upcoming game will become sixths. Pikmin 4 will also be the fourth main installment within its series with the last major canon game being released a decade ago back in July 2013 for the Wii-U console. Pikmin 4 is set to appear on the Nintendo Switch on July 21st this summer and will pretty much have the same type of gameplay as Pikmin 3. The story for Pikmin 4 focuses on players trying to recuse the recurring protagonist Captain Olimar after he crash lands on a mysterious planet. This comes after the Recuse Corps attempts to save Captain Olimar only for them to crash land on the mysterious planet as well. We know that a new Pikmin character named Oatchi will be featured in this game primarily as a companion to the main character. One of the few things that people are going crazy about in relation to this upcoming Pikmin game is the character creation option which is something that could add a little more excitement to Pikmin 4. As it currently stands Pikmin 4 is expected to be priced at $59.99 and its something that seems reasonable. Pikmin 4 is ten years in the making and it might end up becoming one of the most popular kids games of the Summer 2023.
