The early 2000’s was a great time period to be a fan of video games and there countless titles on both the PS1 and PS2 that where available for players enjoy. For those who where huge anime fans back in the early 2000’s you probably remember how big the Inuyasha series was throughout the first half of the decade. There are many people in America who are familiar with the series but not necessarily any of the video games. One of the first major Inuyasha video games that came out back in the early 00’s was A Feudal Fairy Tale which was published by Bandi and appeared on the PS1 between 2002-2003. Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale was developed by Dimps and was a head to head fighting game that included mini-games as it related to collecting the Sacred Jewel Shards which is part of the main story of the anime along trying to hunt down and destroy Naraku. The game included popular characters from the series including Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Sesshomaru and Naruku. In terms of quality there was really nothing special about the game and some believed that it should have been released for the PlayStation 2 opposed for the PS1. Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale was game that obviously appealed to a niche audience which was probably one of the reasons why casuals did not know the game existed back in the early 2000’s. In terms of quality some would go on record and argue that Inuyasha: Fedual Combat from ’05 was a better game than A Feudal Fairy Tale from 2002. If anything Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale looked like a fighting game from the 90’s which was something that kind of added to its appeal.
