Its no secret that Nintendo’s Wii console from the ’06 has managed to be one of the company’s most successful game systems of all-time since its inception. The Wii console was the home of countless high profile video games including Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and more. One of the many titles that got lost shuffle of high profile Wii games and was overshadowed was Super Paper Mario from 2007. The Super Paper Mario game was pretty unique and presented a unique art style which felt like a modified version of the original Paper Mario title from 2000. Not only was Super Paper Mario received positively by many critics and gaming publications but the game managed to reach over 4.3 million copies in sales on the Wii console. Despite, not being as popular as the likes of Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 it should be noted that Super Paper Mario was stood out more considering the fact that game had new antagonists. Both Dimentio and Count Bleck interesting villains and the story for Super Paper Mario had a little more depth in comparison to older entries that utilize the same formula with Bowser being the main antagonist. In fact, making Boswer a playable character along with Mario, Peach and Luigi was also pretty cool because it felt somewhat similar to the Super Mario RPG title from 1996. Its been about fifteen years now and Nintendo has yet to release a remastered version of Super Paper Mario which surprises many people considering how successful it was during the late 00’s. A remastered version of Super Paper Mario on the Switch console would turn many heads within the gaming world in general.
