
Apparently, we live in a day and age where what is old and now considered to be new again and this is definitely the case with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. As many people know Pokémon Diamond & Pearl are both RPG’s developed by Game Freak which initially appeared on the Nintendo DS during the mid 2000’s. Since their respective releases Pokémon Diamond & Pearl managed to become one of the best selling video games of all-time reaching over 17 million copies sold worldwide on the Nintendo DS. Its been fifteen years since Pokemon Diamond & Pearl was released and now we are final getting a 3D remake of both games for the Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company; but unfortunately it will not be developed by Game Freak. Instead Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is made by a video game developer known as ILCA. The anticipated release date for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is November 19th this year before the start of the holiday season. While some might feel that the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl remakes are not a big deal; others feel that its an opportunity for contemporary casual gamers to be introduced to fourth generation of the Pokémon series. Also, hardcore fans of the Pokémon series might believe that a remake for Pokémon Diamond & Pearl was long overdue. The release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is a like nice holiday gift that fans of the series can get; before the official release of the Arceus game which is set to appear for the Switch console in January 2022.
