As far as big fighting games in relation to the 10’s decade is concerned one of the more exciting titles that we got a chance to see was Tekken Tag Tournament 2 which was released over eight years ago. Not only was Tekken Tag Tournament 2 a memorable fighting game it also managed to reach over 1.5 million units worldwide in relation to sales and was received numerous awards for “Best Fighting Game” of 2012 from the likes of GameSpot, Game Informer and Digital Trends shortly after its release. While there has been a lot of speculation that Tekken 7 from 2015 was most likely going to be the final entry in the series there are still many people who would love to see a direct sequel to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sometime in the future. As curt stands Namco has no plans whatsoever on developing a Tekken Tag Tournament 3 anytime in the future.
However, it should be noted that prior to the release of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 the first TTT game came out back in 1999. So it basically took Namco over a decade to make a sequel for the original Tekken Tag Tournament game which was actually worth waiting for. In fact, roster for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was arguably the best that we have seen in any game within the entire series since the mid-90’s. If Namco has no plans on making a sequel to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 than having a remastered version of the game for the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One would definitely be something that many people would love to see.
