As many people might remember the Nintendo Land game was a party-adventure title which was released back in 2012 exclusively for the Wii-U. Since its release Nintendo Land has surprisingly become one of the most popular titles on the Wii-U console by reaching over 5 million copies worldwide in sales. In fact, Nintendo Land ended up becoming the fifth best selling video game for the Wii-U surpassing the likes of Mario Party 10. Despite, how successful Nintendo Land became following its release in 2012 there are some who argue that the game could have been more successful on the Wii console back in the late 00’s anytime between the 2007-2010 time period.
While the original Wii console was far more successful than the Wii-U Nintendo Land could have shined more if the game was released a few year earlier than it was. However, the Wii console had more high-profile games such as Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii and many others which could have easily overshadowed Nintendo Land on the Wii console during the late 00’s. Having Nintendo Land on the Wii-U a console that was far less successful than the Wii actually worked to the game’s advantage in some ways and made it standout as a bigger attraction overall.
