There were so many cool titles that appeared on the Nintendo GameCube back in the early 00’s that are remembered by retro gamers to this day. As far as the racing genre is concerned two of the best games to appear on GameCube were F-Zero GX along with Mario Kart: Double Dash which both cane out in 2003. The visuals along with the retro-futuristic stages and fast paced gameplay were among many things that added to the appeal of F-Zero GX. Ever since, F-Zero GX appeared on GameCube back in July 2003 it was viewed as the best racing game to appear on the Nintendo GameCube by E3 and IGN that same year. In fact to this day people are still waiting for a direct sequel to F-Zero GX.

As popular as F-Zero GX was for the Nintendo GameCube there is no question that Mario Kart: Double Dash was more successful. While F-Zero GX has managed to sell at least 1.50 million units worldwide Mario Kart: Double Dash reaches at least 7 million. In fact, Mario Kart: Double Dash was the second best selling game for the Nintendo GameCube. Mario Kart: Double Dash was probably one of the most memorable games within the entire series especially with the inclusion of co-op gameplay that allowed to players to share the same Go-Kart along having race against each other in Gran-Prix. Also, when it came down to multiplayer game modes it felt like there was more to do in Mario Kart: Double Dash then there was F-Zero GX. While both racing titles were considered to be classics for the Nintendo GameCube it’s hard to choose on game over the other in terms of popularity.
