As many people know the Kid Icarus series has been around for over 30 years ever since the very first game was released for the NES back in 1986. However, some people might find it shocking there has been only three games within the entire series. The original NES title appeared in 1986 while Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters was released for Game Boy in 1991. The most recent entry in the series entitled Kid Icarus Uprising was released for the Nintendo 3DS back in March 2012. Ever since its release Kid Icarus Uprising has received positive reviews from various gaming publications for its story along with being fun shooter game despite the criticism it received regarding its control scheme.

As popular as Kid Icarus Uprising was for the Nintendo 3DS it does not seem like Nintendo or Project Sora has any plans on development a sequel to Kid Icarus Uprising. This is mainly due to the fact that Project Sora became defunct in the summer of 2012. However, seeing a remastered version of Kid Icarus Uprising on the Nintendo Switch would be pretty cool especially since the series does not have too many games in general.
