There is no doubt that Super Smash Bros Ultimate will end up being one of the biggest multiplayer fighting titles not only for the Nintendo Switch but for 2018 in general. If you were a huge fan of Super Smash Bros Melee for the GameCube back in the early 00’s you will be happy to know that the upcoming game will allow players to utilize the same control pad. It was mentioned at E3 2018 by Nintendo that players will be able to get more out Super Smash Bros Ultimate in terms of gameplay especially since it would be tough to imagine playing a Smash Bros only using the Joy Cons.

As of right now people currently own the Nintendo Switch can pre-order GameCube controllers from places such as Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop for $30. The GameCube controllers for the Super Smash Bros Ultimate game will not be available until December 2018. Right now, the Smash themed GameCube controllers are expected to be released on December 31st. However, in terms of business it would be best for Nintendo to have the controllers released before Christmas since it would do much better in sales.
