Will Nintendo ever release a Mini GameCube console?

Since we are starting to see the revival of retro based consoles such as the SNES Classic, Sega Mega Drive Mini along with the Neo Geo Mini it seems like what old is new again. Speaking of which along with SNES one of the best video game consoles that Nintendo has made next to the SNES and the Wii was the GameCube system which was released back in the early 00’s. The Nintendo GameCube had so many classic titles such as Super Smash Bros Melee, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine and more.

While most people would agree that a majority of GameCube titles deserve to be ported for the Nintendo Switch it would also be great to see a mini version of the 128 bit console in the future. As of right now there has not really been any talk about Nintendo make the GameCube Mini a reality. Besides the Nintendo Switch and the SNES Classic are both still very popular in the gaming market today so if we ever do get a GameCube Mini console it may be a year or two from now.
