There is no doubt that Shenmue 3 is a game that many people around the world have waited to see for over 16 years. Shenmue 3 is expected to be released sometime during the third or fourth quarter of 2018 and based on how the game currently looks it seems like it will be a huge success. However, to say that Shenmue 3 is the most anticipated game of 2018 is debatable since many people can easily say the same thing about other action adventure games of 2018.

Despite, Shenmue 3 being over fifteen years in the making there are other action adventure titles such as Darksiders III along with Red Dead Redemption 2 which has not yet been released that many people have also waited to see for years now. Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Darksiders III are also expected to be released later this year along with Shenmue 3. However, the amount of crowdfunding that went into Shenmue 3 was unbelievable especially since the game managed to generate $6.3 million in short period of time. If Shenmue is not the most anticipated action adventure title of this year it will probably the most expensive one of 2018.
