After Street Fighter Alpha 3 was released back in 1998 it was very popular as a 2D fighting title in arcade centers. Following its release Streets Fighter Alpha 3 was ported for game consoles such as the PS1, Sega Dreamcast along with the PS2 as a part of gameplay the Street Fighter Anthology collection. Despite, being ported to multiple game consoles Street Fighter Alpha 3 never made it to the Nintendo GameCube.

There is no doubt that Street Fighter Alpha 3 could have worked on the Nintendo GameCube especially since it did on the PS2 and Sega Dreamcast. However, it seemed like Nintendo mainly wanted 3D titles on the GameCube back in the early 00’s. Also, having Street Fighter Alpha 3 would have been a much better option opposed to having it on the Game Boy Advance.
