As far as platform games are concerned the Sonic Advance series were a pretty good set of games for the Game Boy Advance back in the early 00’s. In fact,some could argue that the quality of the Sonic Advance trilogy was better than the first Sonic games released for the Sega Genesis back in the early 90’s. Despite, having better visual quality than the original Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy the Sonic Advance series was not as popular as it was.

Some people might agree that if the Sonic Advance trilogy was released in the early to mid 90’s it could have been more popular than it was in the 00’s. But unfortunately, Sega and Nintendo were still at competition with each other during the 90’s. While 2D platform genre gaming was popular during the early 90’s it still stood out to some extent on the Game Boy Advance during the 00’s.
