There is no doubt that the Mega Man series was popular on the NES back in the 80’s and early 90’s. When it came down to difficultly Mega Man I-III would have players spending days, weeks or sometimes even months trying to complete each game in its entirety. As enjoyable as Mega Man 1-III was they never received official remakes on the SNES back in the early 90’s. It would have been cool to get a SNES version of the Mega Man Trilogy especially since the 16 bit era of gameplay was starting to become very popular around that time period.

After all we did get to see remakes of the first three Super Mario Bros games when Nintendo released Super Mario All Stars for the SNES back in 1993. However, Capcom had decided to do the same thing with the first three Mega Man titles there was a good chance that they would have been overshadowed by Mega Man X which was also first released in 1993. Anytime between 1990-1992 would have a good time to release a remake for the Mega Man trilogy for the SNES in theory.
