When it comes down to arcade classics from the 90’s both Fatal Fury 2 and DarkStalkers: The Night Warriors are recognizable titles from that time for retro gamers. While both fighting titles were underrated or overshadowed by the likes of games such as Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat II there is no doubt that Fatal Fury 2 along with DarkStalkers: The Night Warriors were solid arcade fighting titles back in the day.

In terms of which game was more popular back in the early 90’s many would give the slight edge to Fatal Fury 2 over DarkStalkers: The Night Warriors. In terms of gameplay Fatal Fury 2 seem to have better mechanics especially with the of the two plane system which made each battle feel more realistic. When it came down to 2D fighters in general the Fatal Fury games shined more in arcade centers along with game consoles such as the Neo Geo.
