The idea of possibility having a Mario Paint video game for the N64 back in the 90’s is something that many retro gamers who where huge fans of Nintendo often think about to this day. Originally, there was supposed to be a Mario Paint 64 for the Nintendo 64DD but in the late 90’s before it was ultimately scrapped for various reasons along with the game system not being quite as popular as the original N64.

Even if the world had almost got a chance to see a Mario Paint 64 it would have been difficult to make a worthy sequel following the original Mario Paint title for the SNES which was so much fun to play. It’s hard to tell if Nintendo could have made a 3D sequel for such a game on the Nintendo 64 DD. If they were ever to make a sequel for Mario Paint back in the late 90’s- early 00’s it probably would have been better off for Game Boy or Game Boy Advance with 2D graphics and sprites as opposed to 3D gameplay not the N64.
