When it comes down to the first person shooter genre of gaming the original Unreal Tournament title was arguably one of the most popular releases of the late 90’s and the early 00’s. Also, some might argue that the original Unreal Tournament title is one of the many games that lead to the rise in popularityof the first person shooter genre in the many 00’s.

As a multiplayer first person shooter game Unreal Tournament seemed like it never got boring especially with modes such as Deathmatch, Last Man Standing, Domination, Capture the Flag along with Team Deathmatch. While the Unreal Tournament was released for PC back in 1999 the game was also ported for the PS2 and the Sega Dreamcast back in the early 00’s.

While its debatable on which version of the game is more superior many would argue in favor of the PC port of the Unreal Tournament since it includes the level editor feature which was something many people were impressed by. Overall, as a first person title the original Unreal Tournament game is legendary especially since it was probably the first time we ever got to see the Unreal Engine in general.
