The Mega Man X series is arguably one of the best in regards to the 16 bit platform genre of gaming.  If Mega Man X I-III was released in arcade centers they could have possibly have had more success than it did on the SNES.  After all if games like Donkey King Jr. could work in arcade centers Capcom could have hit the jackpot with games like Mega Man X.

But at the same time if the original Mega Man X was not released exclusively for the SNES back in the early 90’s the game may not have sold as much as it did following its release in late 1993-early 1994.
