As many people know Super Mario Odyssey is considered to be the one fastest selling game in the United States right now. The Nintendo Switch has exploded in terms of popularity as a video game console and it seems like Super Mario Odyssey will be one of the few reasons why people may want to purchase the hybrid console in the future.

The fact that Super Mario Odyssey is considered to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive might be one of the red why the game itself has sold over two million units worldwide within a week. If Super Mario Odyssey was also made available on the Wii-U the game might have been less desirable to own.  Besides the Wii-U has been irrelevant since the the release of the Nintendo Switch back in spring 2017 along the debut of the SNES Classic in September 2017.
