The SNES Classic has been very successful following its release back in September 2017 and it seems like the retro based game console has received more mainstream attention than the PS4 prior to its release.  While the PS4 may be the most popular 2D console of this year many would probably argue that PS4 is the best 3D console of 2017.  

While the PS4 may be far better than the SNES Classic in terms of graphics and quality as a console a majority of the games for the console lacks the replay value that older 16 bit titles had back in the 90’s.  In terms of which game console is more popular really depends on whether or not you are more of a fan of 2D or 3D gaming.
