Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls came out back on August 6th and since its release the game received mostly positive reviews from gamers. Marvel Tokon was developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was one of the most highly anticipated titles of 2026 prior to its release. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was first announced back in Summer 2025 and since then we have seen numerous gameplay and character trailers which were all impressive. Marvel Tokon has all-star lineup of popular characters from the Marvel Universe and features 4v4 crossover gameplay. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has been constantly compared to older games like Marvel vs Capcom 3 and DragonBall FighterZ which only had 3v3 crossover gameplay. If anything Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is like a spiritual successor to MvC3 and FighterZ in terms of gameplay and presentation.

Marvel Tokon feels like everything that Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite should have been back in 2017. While Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite did have a story mode it was complete mess and only featured 2v2 crossover gameplay. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has a compelling five episode story mode where the cutscenes felt like a cross between an anime and a comic book. There were also other offline game modes like arcade, survival in addition to level up missions. Also, Marvel Tokon does have online mutiplayer gameplay with custom lobbies supporting over 60 players. The PlayStation 5 version of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has been praised by a majority of critics and players. The PC version of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has been panned by most players following its launch because of its technical issues.

It has been reported that Marvel Tokon has managed to earn around $33 million in revenue within its first week. Its also been noted that Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has managed to sell at least 485,000 units across the PS5 and PC during its first week. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls includes a base roster of 20 characters divided into five teams and its likely that more characters will be added to the game within the next year or so through DLC. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has “Game of the Year” potential and its one of the best AAA fighting games to come out within the past few years outside of the DBZ series and anything Street Fighter or Tekken related. Some would argue that Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls deserves a higher Metascore than “86”or”87″ While Marvel Tokon does have its faults it would difficult for other video game developers to top the level of innovation that Arc System Works put into this 4v4 crossover fighting game.
