Its crazy to think that its been 25 years since Mario Party was released on the Nintendo 64. Mario Party 3 is widely regarded as one of the best entries within its entire series. Mario Party 3 is a game people still speak fondly about to this day. Mario Party 3 featured multiple playable characters including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong Wario along with tons of mini-games and a memorable Story mode. As good as Mario Party 3 was it also has a reputation for being one of the hardest in the series along with the first two entries from ’98-’99. The main objective of Mario Party 3 involved competing against other players and earning stamps from the Millennium Star. Mario Party 3 had some of the best boards in the entire series and featured at least 70 different mini games. Mario Party 3 was a game that blew Sega’s Sonic Shuffle game outta water in terms of quality.

Mario Party 3 shined during a time period where party games were still considered be somewhat new while appealing to a niche audience of gamers. In terms of sales Mario Party 3 did roughly under 3 million copies on the N64 which is actually good for a spin-off Mario game. Even though, Mario Party 3 was added to Nintendo Switch Online its a bit of a shame that Nintendo did not remake it. While some see Mario Party 3 as overrated its one of those games that is a big deal because it was the final entry within the series that appeared on a N64 console. While Nintendo is not too big on remaking classic games many would agree that an exception should have been made for Mario Party 3. Even though, Mario Party 3 was arguably one of the installments within its franchise some of the more recent entries like Super Mario Party Superstars and Super Mario Party Jamboree had more commercial success overall.
