There are many people who are well aware of the F-Zero series and how popular it once was during the 90’s and the early 2000’s. The last major entry within the F-Zero series that we got to see came out back in 2003 for Nintendo GameCube. The F-Zero GX game from ’03 ended up being the most popular entry within the entire series and since then Nintendo has not produced another ever since. There are many people who loved the futuristic racing concept F-Zero especially with a larger than life looking character like Captain Falcon. While Captain Falcon is a fan favorite among hardcore Nintendo fans he was never quite as popular as other characters such as Mario, Link, Kirby and Donkey Kong. F-Zero games did not sell nearly as much as some of Nintendo’s more popular franchises which eventually let to Nintendo forgetting about the series altogether. While the idea of an F-Zero movie sounds very intriguing the franchise has been irrelevant about 20 years now despite older games being considered cult classics. While Nintendo was recently partnered with Universal Pictures and Illumination to create the Super Mario Bros Movie; it seems unlikely that something like that would ever happen for F-Zero. At this point we are more likely to get a brand new Zelda movie before we ever see F-Zero on the big screen. We might never see a another F-Zero game ever again let alone a brand new movie or animated series.
