Super Mario Galaxy 2 was one of the most memorable 3D platform games from the Nintendo Wii era following its release back in 2010. Since its release the Super Mario Galaxy 2 managed to reach at least seven million units worldwide following its release. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was a critically acclaimed video game despite the story not being quite as good as the prequel from 2007. Even though, the story from the Super Mario Galaxy game from 2007 was better Galaxy 2 had better features overall and also introduced brand new power-ups that made the game itself somewhat easier to complete. The creativity in relation to the orchestral music scores added life to Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the post-game content mainly the Green Star Missions were very fun. Its shocking that Nintendo has decided not to remake Super Mario Galaxy 2 yet especially considering that it was left out of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection back in 2020. It seems like Nintendo is moving forward for the most part in relation to the Super Mario series which makes the chances of a Galaxy 2 remake slim for the time being. Its quite possible that Nintendo could remake Super Mario Galaxy 2 and release it for their next generation console sometime around 2025. For years now the world has been waiting for a Super Mario Galaxy 3 but it seems like Nintendo has no interest in reviving the Galaxy series. We might not even get a Super Mario Odyssey 2 unless Nintendo says otherwise.
