The news recently broke the other day that Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios will be releasing Mortal Kombat 12 this year. As everyone know the latest installment within the MK series was Mortal Kombat 11 from 2019. Since its release back in 2019 Mortal Kombat 11 has managed to become the best selling installment within its entire series. Since its release more than 15 million copies of Mortal Kombat 11 have been sold cross multiple platforms. While news regarding the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat 12 went viral on Twitter the other day; we still have yet to see an official reveal trailer for the game itself. Hopefully, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has something planes for E3 2023 in relation what an official reveal trailer. Its unclear what the story for Mortal Kombat 12 is going to be about along what characters are going to return.
But its likely that Mortal Kombat 12 could end up being exclusive to current generation game systems like the PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch. Even though, an official release day has yet to be revealed it would make since if the game came out around Q4 2023 during the holiday season. When it comes down to features hopefully game mechanics like Fatal Blows and Krushing Blows make a return. Also, we can most likely expect to see some brand new characters along better dialogue before matches. The death of Kronika in MK11 took place after she reset time and all of the events within the franchise; which opens the door for boss characters like Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn and Shinnok to return in the future.
