Far Cry 7- Currently in Development?

There is no question that 2023 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years in relation to gaming that we have had in years. There are so many high profile video games that are set to be released this year including Final Fantasy XVI, Street Fighter VI, Marvel’s Spider-Man along with the high definition remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space. While there are several upcoming releases that everyone is looking forward to in ’23 the news has broke on several gaming websites that Far Cry 7 along with a brand new Far Cry multiplayer game is currently in development right now. Far Cry 6 was the latest installment within the FC series and was released back in ’21 for multiple game systems. Far Cry 6 was probably one of the best first person shooter games to have emerged from ’21 along with the likes of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042. For the most part people liked Far Cry 6 mainly for its open-world gameplay especially considering the fact that the game had a much bigger map than its predecessor Far Cry 5. Also, Far Cry 6 was a standalone title and neither a prequel or a sequel to Far Cry 5 making it easier for players to follow the storyline. While the storyline for Far Cry 6 was not quite as good as some of the earlier installments it was still one of the best video games to come out of 2021. As it currently stands we have no idea when Far Cry 7 will be released some are guessing that the game will be released sometime between 2024-2025. Far Cry 7 is most likely going to remain exclusive to current generation game systems like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X considering how old the PS4 and Xbox One are. Hopefully, Ubisoft will provide more details on what to expect in relation to Far Cry 7 before the end of 2023.
