Everybody knows that both Tails and Luigi are both popular characters in the world of gaming. Casual gamers are familiar with both the Sonic the Hedgehog and the Super Mario series considering the fact that both have been around for at least three decades now. While Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario are two of the most widely recognized names within the gaming world their fellow sidekicks are also iconic figures as well. When we think about popular player two characters in general both Tails and Luigi are two of most popular names that instantly come to mind. However, many people wonder which character ended up becoming more popular within the past 30 years? While tails has more personality and has been featured on more television shows than Luigi managed to have his own successful video game series. The Luigi’s Mansion series which began back in ’01 had only gotten better overtime with the latest Switch installment from ’19 reaching over 11 million copies in sales on the Switch console. Tails Prower on the other hand never had any solo games that remotely reached the level of popularity as any of the Luigi’s Mansion games. While Tails has more personality Luigi is a character that has managed to become an attraction outside of the shadow of his brother Mario. Without Sonic the Hedgehog Tails does not have the same appeal as he does besides Sega’s top character.
