There have been a lot of big news stories that have broke the internet this year thus far. One of the most shocking developments that has emerged as of late is Square Enix’s announcement regarding the upcoming discontinuation of Babylon’s Fall’s online gaming service. For those who do not know Babylon’s Fall was an action role-playing game released back in March 2022 and was published by Square Enix and developed by PlatinumGames. Since its release Babylon’s Fall has received largely negative reviews from critics for a variety of reasons including outdated graphics, boring storyline, repetitive gameplay and its heavy use of micro-transactions. There is no secret that many gamers are not too fond of micro-transactions especially considering how bad the western economy is especially in countries like America. The following statement had recently appeared on the official Twitter page for Babylon’s Fall

Its no secret that Babylon’s Fall was considered to be one of the biggest duds to have emerged from the gaming world in the past few years; with many people being surprised that the game was licensed by Square Enix. Its a well known fact that Square Enix specializes in making high profile RPG titles while PlatinumGames has a good track in producing high quality video games. Also, PlatinumGames has worked on titles such as: Nier: Automata, Astral Chain along with the first Bayonetta Games. In fact, PlatinumGames has yet to release Bayonetta 3 which is set to appear on the Switch console on October 28th. Despite, all of the hype prior to its release the masses did not believe that Babylon’s Fall was not worth $59.99 following its initial release. As it currently stands Babylon’s Fall is being viewed as the worst PS5 game of ’22 and quite possibly the most undesirable RPG title of its generation.
