The Pac-Man series has been around since the 80s and has managed to remain somewhat relevant in the world of gaming since its arcade inception back in 1980. By the time we got to the 10s decade gaming has evolved far beyond the maze genre; but we still got to see games like Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures back in 2013. As a 3D platform title the Pac-Man game from 2013 looked like a nice platform title in terms of presentation. However, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures was a game that many people were not too positive about. While it was cool that the Pac-Man game included staple characters like Blinky, Inky, Clyde and Pinky ; the inclusion of a plot may have ended up doing more harm than good. Pac-Man was at its best when there was no plot and everything was basic. However, the introduction of a new character named Betrayus was one of the few positives of the Pac-Man: Ghostly Adventures game. Another strong positive was the inclusion of multiplayer split screen gameplay which allowed up to four players simultaneously. Even though, the Pac-Man: Ghostly Adventures game appeared on multiple platforms including the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo 3DS; the sales definitely fell below the expectations of the publisher Bandi Namco Games. While the ‘14 sequel Pac-Man: Ghostly Adventures 2 was slightly a better game; Pac-Man is just not as popular nowadays as it was 20 or 30 years ago.
