Square Enix’s Forspoken set for release in 2022!!!

When it comes down to upcoming RPG games in relation to next year one of the few titles that the world is looking forward to seeing is Forspoken. For those who do not know Forspoken will be developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix and will appear exclusively for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 5. The story for the game revolved around a female protagonist from New York by the name of Frey Holland; who ends up in a fantasy world named Athia after being sucked through a dimensional vortex. Not only does Holland discover that she has magical powers in order to combat countless foes; but she must also put an end to the dictatorial rule of the main antagonist Tanya Sila over Athia. The open world design for Forspoken looked beautiful and included fast-paced gameplay courtesy of the Luminous Engine. One of the more interesting things about the Luminous Engine was that it was also used to make Final Fantasy XV which was released back in 2016. The Luminous Engine is supposed to rival the Unreal Engine 4 in terms of visual quality and seems like a pretty good alternative for RPG titles.

It has been said that the storyline for Forspoken will be mostly narrative driven and will have all kinds of exciting dialogue. As far the PS5 is concerned Forspoken is one of Square Enix’s biggest upcoming releases as it relates to 2022. There were many people on YouTube were blown away by the trailer for Forspoken and believe that the game has a ton of potential. Despite, having a pretty basic plot almost every other aspect of Forspoken looks promising and will most likely resonate well with casual gamers. There is a good chance that we will learn more details about Forspoken before its official release upcoming Spring in 2022. We do know that enhanced lighting effects along with Blu-ray tracking are going to be key features that will make the PS5 version of the game stand out from the PC port. It will be interesting to see how well Forspoken performs commercially following its upcoming release in Spring 2022.
