Will Grand Theft Auto 6 be released by 2023?

There has been a ton of speculation for the past few years in relation to when Rockstar is going to release Grand Theft Auto 6. As many people know Grand Theft Auto V from ‘13 was a massive commercial success on the PS4. Since its initial release Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 145 million copies worldwide and has become one of the best selling titles in video game history. Grand Theft Auto V was universally praised for its detailed open world environment, compelling storyline along with the inclusion of a robust online multiplayer mode. Grand Theft Auto V was addictive to many people and was far better than it had any business being in comparison to GTA IV from 2008. In fact, Grand Theft Auto V is still a huge attraction today despite being almost a decade old. In fact, Grand Theft Auto V is quite possibly the only installment within the series that tops San Andreas from ‘04 depending on who you ask. While there was a five plus year gap between the releases of GTA IV & GTA V; its seems like the development for Grand Theft Auto VI is taking Rockstar much longer than many have expected.

There have been rumors about the potential release of a GTA: VI game by 2023. However, Rockstar has yet to officially confirm the upcoming release of GTA: VI which will most likely be exclusive for current generation consoles like PS5 & Xbox Series X. Since Grand Theft Auto VI did not appear at all during the E3 2021 event many believe that the game may still be in early development. While many people are dying to see the release of Grand Theft Auto VI its going to very hard for Rockstar to top the success they had with GTA: V in terms of popularity, success along with revenue earned since its ‘13 release. Hopefully, we get some type of announcement from Rockstar about Grand Theft Auto VI between 2022-2023 for the PS5, Xbox Series X along with Microsoft Windows.
