When we think about classic GameCube titles that deserves to be remade or remastered in some way Metroid Prime is definitely one of the few games that instantly comes to mind. Metroid Prime was arguably one of the most popular video games of the early 00’s; it was definitely one of the top titles for GameCube following its release in late 2002. The original Metroid Prime game was developed by Retro Studios the same company that worked on Metroid Prime 2 & 3. In fact, Retro Studios is currently working on Metroid Prime 4 which is far from being completed in terms of development. As far as sales are concerned Metroid Prime managed to crack over one million copies worldwide and is considered to be one of the most memorable installments within the entire series. As a 3D action-adventure shooter game a remastered version of Metroid Prime would look lovely on the Nintendo Switch. However, Nintendo apparently has no plans what’s to remaster the legendary Metroid Prime game whatsoever.
While many people would agree that Metroid Prime should have been remastered at least a decade ago its still something that hardcore fans of the series would definitely pay to see. In fact, all three Metroid Prime games from 2002-2007 deserves to be remastered especially for the Nintendo Switch since we have no high profile titles from that series available for the hybrid console right now. Despite, the GameCube being one of Nintendo’s lowest selling game systems ever there were a few gems that came from that console that deserved to be remastered and Metroid Prime is just one of them.
